What is your Committee doing for you?
|
|
|
Your
new committee had its first meeting
on Thursday 25th Oct. The main thing
decided was that we will publish the
minutes of each meeting prior to the
next one, so as to let you know what
is happening and to give you an opportunity
to make representations to any committee
member, if you feel you have something
valuable to add.
Next Committee
Meeting - Thursday 29th May 2008

The
re-scheduled ball was a great success. We
were blessed with a fine evening on Saturday
22nd September. Almost 120 revellers, drank,
ate and danced till the early hours.
A
great big well done to Virginia Bray and
the remainder of the Ball Committee for
putting on such a fantastic event especially
after the disappointment of the very wet
Friday in July when we had to postpone.
Tom
Prinn passed 1000 runs in Sunday games in
a season with his 140 against Woodley. Fantastic
Effort.
The
U/11s tournament was blessed with good weather
and was enjoyed by all participants. West
End narrowly missed out on the final when
Purley who went on to win the trophy, lost
to Shinfield in the round robin. Congratulations
and thanks to Michael "Titch"
Vickers for organising this and many othetr
activities for the junior players this season.
As
you may know, Titch is moving on to pastures
new next season and we are looking for a
Colts Manager to step up to the plate and
continue this great work.
Both
Tom Prinn and Nick Kingston have now played
2 games for the Berkshire Select XI, which
is putting the club firmly on the map within
the county. The majority of other players
in the side come from much larger and well
established clubs. WELL DONE

Some
players, slap a thigh, or receive a
pat on the back and a handshake. Even
a high five, punch the air but .......
Raj
celebrates his wicket taking against
Emmbrook in his way.
