Ladies Day - Champagne and Strawberries


Last year saw MWECC compete with Henley Regatta and Wimbledon. The cricket ground was adorned by a bevy of beauties dressed to kill. With practiced polish and etiquette learned at an approved finishing school for daughters of the bewildered these sirens gently sipped champagne and gracefully polished off bowls of strawberries. Even as they departed at the end of a few blissful hours they never once lost their poise as those able to still stand pushed the less stable in wheelbarrows towards their waiting partners cars.

I jest of course. The ladies had a most convivial time on what turned out to be a wonderfully sunny day. And they claimed they even watched the cricket as well! I do know that they all enjoyed it so much they want to do it all over again and let those ladies who missed it last year have a chance to share the experience this year.
